Lovely and cozy while dealing with grief. Some difficult themes which are touched with a light hand. Magic, friendship, light romance, Ireland.

The old kitchen at the back of the house had hardly changed since Oran was a child, and neither had his father’s routine. A big mug of tea, two thick slices of toast drowned in butter, and two hard-boiled eggs. The old range hummed away happily with heat and was never allowed to go out.

Living this close to nature, I feel as though I am part of it; as much as the river flowing through it or the ever-changing clouds passing overhead. We alter together with each season, transforming, yet always staying true to our nature. I can read the weather coming in across the hills like I can read my own moods.
