The basic idea is: quit waiting for someone to choose you, save you, validate you, give you permission, or swoop in with that job/opportunity/connection you need. Choose yourself (for whatever it is you want someone else to choose you for) and then find a way to start doing the thing instead of waiting for someone else to make it happen for you.
